Lift Bridge Getaway Pilsner

This 5.25% summer seasonal is from The Lift Bridge Brewing Company of Stillwater, Minnesota. Okay, so I got to it a bit late.

The beer pours a sun-bleached straw yellow and golden. There is an inch of white foamy head. The aroma is hay, straw, honey, baked French bread, and golden, toasted grain. The taste hits the same notes as the aromas, adds a bright, metallic note, and finishes with a distinct bitterness and dryness. The beer drinks with a crisp, tingling, refreshing carbonation. This beer is like Old Milwaukee on steroids, and I mean that as a sincere compliment and not as some ironic jab.
