Bad Weather Ominous

The Bad Weather Brewing Company is Minnetonka, Minnesota. They just opened in early 2013. This 7.5% ABV beer is described on the bottle as a Midwest Warmer.

The beer pours a deep dark brown to mahogany with lots of dark blood ruby. There is a short head of tan foam. The aroma is malty, sweet, roasted, chocolatey, with a bit of a tang. The taste is deep rich malt, dark chocolate, cocoa, dark cherries, a touch of moist leaf tobacco. Sweet, but never cloying, ending dry, with a very smooth mouthfeel. This is very nice.
