The beer pours clear and a dark golden in color. There is a
short and relatively thin head of white foam. The aroma is light tropical
fruit, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and a bit of tangerine. The taste
follows the aromas, a bit of earthy mango skin kicking in, over enough stone
ground crackery malt to base the hops on. It drinks very light and easy. The
finish is moderately bitter, mostly crisp and refreshing. This is one very
quaffable session IPA.
Session IPA’s are
hot right now, everybody is coming out with one. I have yet to taste one that is better than
Founder’s All Day IPA, but this one is good, and I give it props for best
named.
