Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere

This is a 4.5% ABV bottle-conditioned hoppy farmhouse ale from Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales of Dexter, Michigan. This is batch 1264 bottled on 12-3-2012. It was in the discount bin ($4), and I figured it worth a try. Bam is the brewery's Jack Russel terrier who survived being hit by a car.

The beer pours honey golden, with a touch of haze. There is a big, billlowing, pillowy head of white to off-white foam, thick, yet ragged. The aroma is floral, loads of marigolds and geraniums, yeasty, with a light fruitiness of stone fruits. The taste follows the aromas, lots of flowers and stone fruits, various yeast notes, both earthy and lightly funky. It is extremely dry and moderately bitter. The aftertaste is of bitter flowers and peaches. This is really, really nice.
