The Goose Island Beer Company is from Chicago, Illinois. They began as an independent, but were bought out by AB-InBev a couple of years ago. The beer is 5.7% ABV.
This pours a deep copper and amber in color. There is over an inch of thick off-white head. The aroma is stone fruit, light caramel, malt, a touch roasted and nutty, with a fruit tang. The taste is roasted and toasted malt, nutty, light fruit, with a grassy and moderately bitter finish. Clean, simple, but enjoyably tasty.
