Captain Lawrence IPA

This is a 6.5% ABV dry hopped India Pale Ale from the Captain Lawrence Brewing Company of Elmsford, New York. It uses Citra, Bravo, Columbus and Centennial hops.

The beer pours a slightly hazy honey golden in color. There is a relatively shorter head of somewhat thick white foam. The aroma is hop forward, citrusy, passion fruit, grassy. The taste is tangy citrus fruits, passion fruit, grapefruit rind, grassy, with a very bitter finish. The citrus of this beer just fills the mouth and even enters into the nose, it is an explosion of citrus. It is medium bodied with a carbonation that is both crisp, yet smooth. This is an IPA definitely worth trying.
