Baraboo Beers are a proprietary brand of the Hy-Vee chain of Midwestern supermarkets. The beers are contract brewed by Stevens Point Brewery in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The beer pours honey golden in color, with just a haze of a blueberry tint. There is a relatively small head of white foam. The aroma is blueberry, unfortunately smelling artificial, over toasted grains. The taste follows the aromas, the blueberry is artificial and medicinal. This tastes like blueberry cough syrup poured in a mediocre golden ale. The other Baraboo beers have been quite good for their store brand discount status. However, this one is truly abominable.
