Presidente Light

Presidente's 127 calorie light beer is from the Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana of the Dominican Republic. The 4.3% ABV beer pours a pale yellow golden in color. There is a tall head of white foam. The aroma is light corn with a tart sourness. It is not an unpleasant sourness, but it also doesn't bode well for a great lager to come. The taste is light corn, very light straw and grass, with a lightly metallic, light green apple tang on the end. It is more dry than sweet and very crisply carbonated, even stinging, with a watery mouthfeel. Not swill, drinkable, and if I was on a hot, sunny beach in the Dominican Republic, it would be veritably chuggable. The flavors are a bit better all around from the can.
