New Glarus Fat Squirrel

This brown ale is from the New Glarus Brewing Company of New Glarus, Wisconsin. They are distributed only in Wisconsin. The beer pours medium dark brown, deep chestnut, light mahogany in color. There is a half inch of thick and creamy off-white to light brown foam. The aroma is a light roasted and toasted nutty malt. The taste has the same roasted and toasted nutty malt, a light tang, and a perfect bittering of hops on the end. It is nicely carbonated, being both smooth and slightly creamy and tingling with carbonation. This is a tasty and very drinkable nut brown ale.
