Revolution Cross of Gold

This 5.0% ABV golden ale is from Revolution Brewing of Chicago, Illinois. It won a gold award at the 2012 World Beer Cup in the category of English-style summer ale.

The beer pours golden and yellow in color. There is a massive head of thick, bubbly, white sea foam. The aroma is lemony, zesty, bright, bread dough, yeast and grass. The taste follows the aromas directly. The finish is moderately to strongly bitter and quite dry. The mouthfeel is crisp and carbonated. This is a tasty and refreshing easy drinker.
