Moylander Double IPA

This 8.5% ABV DIPA is from Moylan's Brewing of Novato, California.  The beer pours a deep amber, copper and burnt orange in color.  There is nearly an inch of thick and somewhat creamy head that is off-white in color.  The aroma is orange peel, overripe tropical fruit, strong sun tea with lemon and a hint of tobacco.  The taste follows the aromas and adds deep caramel malt and some pine.  The finish is bracingly and mouth puckeringly bitter.  This is a very nice DIPA, but the bitterness on the finish is nearly overwhelming at times.
