The Einbecker Brauhaus is in Einbeck, Germany.
This 6.5% ABV is a "dunkel" or "dark" bock, a higher alcohol style of German beer. The beer pours an orangish and dark copper brown, with almost a hint of ruby. There is a short head of light brown foam. The aroma is very malty, sweet potato and a touch of caramel. The taste is also very malty, malted grain, sweet potato, caramel, with a nice counterbalancing bitterness and dryness on the finish. The aftertaste is malty and grain. This is a full-flavored, but well-balanced bock. Too many of them veer towards overly sweet for my taste, but not this one.
