This 6.0% ABV single hop ale is brewed with Citra hops. It pours a clear copper in color with a half-inch of creamy and thick off-white head. The aroma is light citrus and melon over a solid malt base. The taste is more malt forward than hops, it drinks like English-style tea made with cream. There are strong tea notes, but a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is bitter and dry. All IPA's or other beers that put the hop in the name should have a brewed on date. Again, I must wonder how fresh this bottle is, I expected a much more citrus hop forward beer when they put "citra" in the name.
