Quite possibly the longest titled beer ever, this beer pours a very dark golden in color, approaching a hint of copper. 4.6% ABV. The aroma is of grain with a bit of herb and grass. The taste is slightly sweet, hints of herb and flower over a grain malt base. It reminds me of a beefed up Grain Belt Premium.
Whitefish, Montana is the original home of the Great Northern Brewing Company and their Black Star Beer, since 1856. However, according to the bottle, it is now brewed and bottled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Perhaps Miller contract brews it? Probably,as the website professes some brewer relation to Henry Weinhard, now also a Miller product.
