Don't let the name fool you, this beer is brewed by Brauhaus Ried in Ried, Austria. It is 5.5% ABV. The beer pours a light honey gold and is cloudy. There is an intense aroma of stored grain, and a bit of straw and grass. It has a big flavor of grain, is creamy, with a slight bitter finish and an intense aftertaste that is pleasant as the original flavors just linger for a long time. It could use just a touch more carbonation on the tongue. This is a flavorful and very solid European lager.
