Goose Island Autumn Ale

This 6.7% ABV red ale is from the Goose Island Beer Company of Chicago, Illinois. It has 65 IBU's. Now that GI is owned by AB-InBev, this beer is brewed in Baldwinsville, New York and Fort Collins, Colorado.

The beer pours a deep, dark, gem-like amber in color. There is a half-inch of light tan head. The aroma is piney, fruity, plums, strawberries, with an earthy note. The taste combines the pine and fruit and earth to give a pleasant tea-like taste. The finish is fruity and moderately bitter. The beer drinks easy and pleasant with a medium body.
