The beer pours black in color, with just a bit of very dark
ruby when held to the light. There is about an inch of thick head, tan in
color. The aroma is tangy, bright, fruity, over dark roasted malt with a nice char. The taste
has the same bright fruitiness floating on a bed of dark roasted malt, giving
coffee, and some char and dark chocolate. The finish is decidedly, and bracingly
bitter. It is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, and a bit of smoothness.
