Dupont Biere de Miel

This is a 8.0% ABV ale brewed with honey from the Brasserie Dupont of Tourpes, Belgium. The label is a reproduction of a poster for the beer from the 1890's.

The beer pours honey golden in color with over an inch of foamy white head. The aroma is toasted grain, honey, straw, hay, and old farmyard. The taste follows the aromas directly, and adds in some fruity yeast esters. The finish is dry, and it has an intense and fine bottle-conditioned carbonation. It is medium bodied and exquisitely balanced. An absolute classic!
