Innstadt Original Hell

This is a 4.9% ABV Hell beer from Innstadt Brauerei of Passau, Germany. In German hell or helles simply refers to a pale colored beer. The beer pours a dark golden yellow in color. There is over an inch of pure white foam. The aroma is golden malt, freshly harvested dry corn, straw, and a touch of earthiness. The taste is golden grains, lots of fresh straw, a touch of clean barn and earthiness and a dry and grassy finish. The mouthfeel is nicely carbonated without being overbearing, but with a hint of creaminess. This is a very nice German lager.
