Mikkeller is a brewery based in Denmark. It beers its brews in breweries all over the world. This beer was brewed at De Proef Brouwerij in Lochristi-Hifjte, Belgium. It is a 6.9% ABV American Style IPA. The beer pours a hazy orange and amber in color. There is an inch of thick, somewhat creamy off-white head. The aroma is piney and funky, pine needles and pine sap over melons and tropical fruit. The taste is piney, fruit, malt, caramel malt, tea with lemon, citrus, overripe cantaloupe and a touch of tropical fruit with a bitter finish that gradually rises from moderate to fairly intense.
