Stoudts Smooth Hoperator

The Stoudts Brewing Company is in Adamstown, Pennsylvania. This is a 7.2% beer made with German malts and American hops. The beer pours a dark copper, deep amber and light brown to deep chestnut in color. There is a tall half-inch of thick and creamy off-white head. The aroma is rich malt and fruity hops, a good amount of orange and a bit of floral. The taste is deep, rich malt, roasted and caramel, in near equipoise with orange fruit hops. There is a spice and a tang in the finish, which is smooth and creamy. This is an interesting and tasty beer.
