Lion Bridge Kundera

This 4.6% ABV kolsch-style beer is from the Lion Bridge Brewing Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The beer pours past deep dark golden, into light amber. There is an inch of white to just off-white head. The aroma is very malty, malted grain, fresh baked bread, a touch of sweet potato, with a light grassiness. The taste follows the aromas, malty, just a hint of nutty. There is a pronounced grassy bitterness, much stronger than in the aroma, but making for a nice, clean, crisp, bitter finish that balances out the maltiness. The beer drinks refreshing, medium bodied, with just enough crispness.
