New Belgium Voodoo Ranger 1985 IPA

This 6.7% ABV mango India Pale Ale is from New Belgium Brewing of Fort Collins, Colorado. It is one of the latest releases in their Voodoo Ranger line. I love the outfit on the voodoo skeleton guy.

The beer pours a cloudy yellow-orange in color. There is an inch of thick, foamy, ragged white head. The aroma is a blast of fruit, mango, pineapple, tropical. The taste is juicy, tropical, mango puree over toasted wheat. Alternately, it reminds me slightly of the taste of a tropical wine cooler. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The beer drinks both soft and amply carbonated.
