Boulevard Imperial Hazy IPA

This 8.8% ABV India Pale Ale is from Boulevard Brewing Company of Kansas City, Missouri. It is one of their "Tasting Room" beers; beers that have been available in their tasting room in the past, but not bottled. This came as part of a mixed sampler six pack of three different Tasting Room IPA's.

The beer pours a dirty orange, definitely hazy. There is a half-inch of white to off-white foam. The aroma is deep orange, sweet, yet tangy, full of pith and rind. The taste follows the aromas, a deep, very ripe, orange, with juice, pulp, and rind. The finish is moderately bitter to start, with the bitterness growing slightly in intensity. The beer drinks with a full, but not heavy body, smooth, with soft carbonation.
