Bell's Leaves of Grass Series III: O Captain! My Captain!

This is a 5.5% ABV Black India-Style Pale Lager. It is from Bell's Brewery in Comstock, Michigan. It third in a series honoring Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman.

The beer pours black in color. There is nearly an inch of light tan foam head. The aroma is bright, with a fruity tang, pine, and dark roast. The taste follows the aromas, a nice blend of fruity, piney hops, and dark roasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter. The beer drinks easy and refreshing. This is very enjoyable.
