The beer pours a deep amber and burnt
orange. There is a short head of light tan foam. The aroma is
caramel, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, with a touch of oak. The taste
follows the aromas, malty and sweet, then turning dry with oak
astringency. The finish has a moderate bitterness that cuts off the
sweetness a bit. The beer drinks with a medium body and moderate
carbonation. This is a pleasant bourbon barrel-aged ale (aged on oak
spirals and bourbon barrel char).
