Exile Grapefruit Bohemian

This 5.5% ABV sour ale brewed with grapefruit is from the Exile Brewing Company  of Des Moines, Iowa.

The beer pours a hazy dark gold, burnt orange, light brown, a bit like a grapefruit rind. The aroma is tart, earthy, some grapefruit, a touch musky. The taste is tart, amplified by grapefruit tartness, with a moderately bitter finish, again with grapefruit bitterness. The finish is intensely sour. The beer drinks light, a sting of sour and light carbonation, with that somewhat watery mouthfeel that sourness can impart.
