The beer pours dark brown and ruby
colored. There is a short head of tan foam. The aroma is dark fruits
and malt, with a bit of oaky astringency. The taste follows the
aromas, but is ramped up, loads of roasted malt. The finish is dry
and oaky, with moderate, woody, bitterness. The beer drinks smooth,
with moderate carbonation. This is a nice winter sipping beer.
