Boulder Slope Style Red IPA

This is a 6.4% ABV red India Pale Ale. It is from the Boulder Beer Company of Boulder, Colorado. I think it used to be called their winter IPA.

The beer pours a very dark amber, red-brown in color. There is a half-inch of light tan head. The aroma is mild, citrus, tea, and toasted caramel, with some dark fruits. The taste follows the aromas, a nice blend of malt and hops, caramel and fruits, with some tea flavor. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The beer drinks with a crisp carbonation.
