Deschutes Swivelhead

The Deschutes Brewery is in Bend, Oregon.  This is their new 6.5% ABV India style red ale. 

The beer pours a dark red, medium dark brown in color. There is a half inch of light tan head. The aroma is malty, fruity, caramel, berries, yeast. The taste follows the aromas, caramel, blueberries, fruity, a bit tangy, and a bit roasted. The finish is mostly dry and moderately bitter. The beer drinks with a relativley full body and medium carbonation. This one doesn't work that well for me.
