The beer pours amber and a light copper
in color. There is a tall, thick, foamy head of white to just
off-white. The aroma is citrusy and grassy, light apricot-blueberry.
The taste is mostly citrus and grassy, over toasted malt, with a bit
of apricot. The finish is dry with a moderate bitterness. It is very
tangy on the finish, starting with a grapefruit and lemon quality,
but veering a touch into metallic in the aftertaste. The beer drinks
smooth with a soft, yet stinging carbonation. This is not a great
IPA, but this is a style that store brands really struggle with.
While it will not wow you with its taste, this one is at least
crushable in most respects.
