Avery The Reverend

The Avery Brewing Company of Boulder, Colorado was established in 1993. This is their 10.0% ABV Belgian-style quadruple ale.

The beer pours a deep, dark amber, gem-like. There is a relatively short and short-lived head of off-white to light tan foam. The aroma is sweet, fruity, caramel, lightly herbal. The taste follows the aromas, lots of fruit and caramel. Sweet, yet with a dry finish, some nuttiness, little to no bitterness. The beer drinks smooth, with a prickling tingle of carbonation.
