Surly Xtra-Citra

 This 4.5% ABV pale ale is from the Surly Brewing Company of Brooklyn Center (and now Minneapolis), Minnesota. As the name indicates, it features the Citra hop.

The beer pours golden, with a tint of apricot. There is an inch of bubbly, foamy, white head. The aroma is citrus, mango, mango skin, light passion fruit, with a bit of light musky dankness. The taste follows the aromas, hitting all the same notes. The finish is dry and only lightly bitter. The beer is packed full of flavor, but drinks very easy and light. This is one of the better hoppy sessions out there.
