Samuel Adams Holiday Porter

The Samuel Adams line of beers are from the Boston Brewing Company of Boston, Massachusetts. This 5.8% porter is a holiday winter seasonal. 

The beer pours a very dark brown and dark ruby in color. There is a short head of light tan foam, not long-lasting. The aroma is mild, dark roasted malts, roasty, light char, light dark chocolate. The taste follows the aromas, dark roasted malts, pleasant char, dark chocolate, with a fruity, mineral tang. The finish is dry and lightly to moderately bitter. The beer drinks easy with a tingle of carbonation.  This is enjoyable.
