The beer pours very dark brown, mahogany and dark ruby in color.
There is nearly an inch of tan head. The aroma is very roasted and toasted
malt, nutty, rye toast, some chocolate. The taste follows the aromas, toasted,
dark roasted, chocolate, toast, rye toast, nutty, as deep, dark and rich as you
can get without turning into a stout. The beer drinks smooth and round, with a
light tingle of carbonation. The finish is dry and lightly bitter. This is one
really nice roasted malt ale.
