This 5.% ABV porter is from Door County Brewing of Bailey's Harbor, Wisconsin (with contract brewing at Sand Creek Brewing in Black River Falls, Wisconsin).
The beer pours a very dark brown and ruby in
color. There is a half-inch of light tan head made up of soda like bubbles. The
aroma is dark roasted malt, some char, with a mineral tang. The taste amps up
the dark roasted malt, coffee, char, with some dark chocolate. The finish is
dry with a light to moderate bitterness. The beer drinks easy with a tingle of
carbonation. This makes for a nice sessionable porter.
