The beer pours a hazy honey and apricot in color. There is
an inch of pure white, foamy head that leaves rings of sticky lacing down the
glass. The aroma is lush, ripe, tropical fruits and citrus, mango, passion
fruit, along with a nice, dank muskiness. The taste follows the aromas,
tropical, citrus and dank, ending dry, with a pithy, grapefruit peel bitterness
that is fairly intense. The beer drinks smooth and full, combined with tingling
carbonation. This is one damn fine beer!
Tried the September 1, 2015 bottling, and still wow! The beer pours orange and golden with an inch of thick, foamy, white to off-white head. The aroma is the muskiest IPA I have ever smelled, dank, with passion fruit and mango skin, guava, citrus, all the fruits very ripe and tropical. The taste hits all the same notes as the aromas, a huge explosion of tropical fruits and musky dankness. The beer drinks smooth with a mild tingle of carbonation. This is one of those TG brews that shifts the entire structure of your brain into a range of hop euphoria.
2018: Now in cans!
