The beer pours black in appearance. There is a half-inch of
semi-creamy beige head. The aroma is chocolate, dark roasted malts, with some
char and light coffee. The dark roasted malt flavors are even more intense in
the taste than in the aroma, much more char, chocolate, coffee still light.
There is a bright mineral quality like Guinness, but this is a much more
flavorful stout. The finish is dry, with a moderate bitterness. The beer drinks
smooth and easy. This is a very tasty and drinkable stout.
