The beer pours dark copper and brown in color, trending
towards ruby. There is a half-inch of khaki head. The aroma is tart, fruity,
oranges, cherries, and grapes, almost vinous, along with some caramel. The
taste is the reverse of the aroma, with the caramel coming out first and most,
with a lighter cherry fruit in the background, and a very light and soft vinous
note. The beer drinks soft, a bit smooth, but with a strong, fine carbonation
as well. Drinkable, but of course, Blue Moon beers are like the ultra-beginner level of Belgian influenced beers, barely giving one an introduction.
