The beer pours a deep, yet glowing, copper and amber in
color. There is a half-inch of thick off-white to very light tan foam that
leaves sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is oranges, guava, passion fruit,
with lighter notes of pine. The taste is thick, rich, ripe, succulent fruit on
top of a roasted and caramel maltiness, with notes of tea and light tobacco
beneath all the juicy hops. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. The beer
drinks easy and smooth, you wouldn’t guess it was 10% ABV ,
but for the subtle warming effect.
