Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Myron's Walk

This is part of the 2014 Beer Camp Across America special release from Sierra Nevada Brewing of Chico, California. They invited breweries all across America to join in a collaboration brew with them and/or join them on their Beer Camp Tour with seven stops across the USA as their bus makes its way to the site of their new brewery in Mills River, NC (there is an eighth mini-camp at El Bait Shop in Des Moines, Iowa). The release features a mixed 12 pack of twelve unique beers, two in cans.

This beer is a 5.3% ABV Belgian-style pale ale brewed with coriander and made in collaboration with Allagash Brewing of Portland, Maine.

The beer pours honey golden in color, with an orange/apricot tint. There is about an inch of white, tightly foamy head. The aroma is tangy, yeasty, fruity, mandarin oranges and tropical. The taste is floral, fruity, yeasty, tangy, hitting the same notes as the aroma, but adding in more floral at the front, with the fruit strong in the aftertaste, lots of apricot, almost nectarine. There is a light spice in the aroma and taste, but the coriander is subtle and well-incorporated with the other flavors. It is bracingly dry and moderately bitter. It drinks crisp and refreshing. This is wonderful stuff.
