The beer pours a nearly opaque dark brown and red. There is
a relatively short head of light tan foam. The aroma is bright, fruity, malty,
strawberries, cherries, caramel. The taste follows the aromas, this is
definitely malt driven, but with a tang, lots of caramel, some sweet potato,
dark fruits, raspberries, strawberries. It is medium to full bodied, but not at
all thick. It has a subtle carbonation with a moderate bitterness on the
finish. This has some nice malt flavors, but it a bit too tangy on the end, it
clashes and loses balance. This one fell a little short for me.
