Bent Brewstillery Dark Fatha

This 9.3% ABV American "Emperial" Stout (note the Darth Vader like character on the bottle) is from the Bent Brewstillery of Roseville, Minnesota. It has 57 IBU's.

The beer pours completely black, no other colors even when held to the light. There is a tall, rich, thick head of brown foam. The aroma is dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, creamy with a bit of a bright, brassy, mineral tang. The taste is like a creamy, bittersweet, dark chocolate and mocha milkshake. Dark roasted malt flavors combine with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, lots of sweet malt, but never a sweet stout as the bitterness keeps it in check, but all in good balance. It is full bodied, but not heavy, carbonation is subtle and fits with the smooth and round mouth.
