The beer pours a dark brown and light garnet in color. There
is a relatively short head of very light brown foam, a bit smooth. The aroma is
caramel malt, dark fruits, piney, a bit dank. The taste is sweet malts and
piney hops battling each other to perfect equipoise. The finish is fairly
bitter and dry. It is medium-bodied, smooth, softly, yet strongly carbonated.
This is a very nice American red ale.
