The beer pours black in color, a dark, dark ruby when held
to the light. There is a half-inch head of nearly creamy light tan head. The
aroma is light dark roasted malt, a bit milky. The taste is tangy dark roasted
malt, a bit of char, a mineral, metallic note that is pleasant, with a bit of
dark cocoa. The finish is fairly bitter. The beer drinks medium bodied and a
bit smooth. Nice, not transcendent.
