Big Wood Bark Bite IPA

This 6.6% ABV India Pale Ale is from the Big Wood Brewery of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. This has a beaver on the back of the can, because it also has a big bite, get it?

The beer pours an orange honey golden in color. There is an inch of thick and somewhat creamy off-white head. The aroma is citrusy, lemon and orange, apricots, over toasted malt. The taste follows the aromas, citrus and peaches over toasted malt, with a very bitter finish. It is medium bodied and nicely carbonated. They aren’t kidding, this has a big bite on the end, and this from a dedicated hophead.
