Three Floyds Munster Fest

Three Floyds Brewing Company is out of Munster, Indiana. This is one of the best beer labels ever with the deulilng Kaiser era generals with their steins in hand along with their swords. The bottle proclaims about the beer "es ist nicht normal", that is their "not normal" catch phrase in German for those Teutonically challenged.  This is a 6.0% ABV Oktoberfest beer.

The beer pours dark copper in color, dark amber, a bit of orange.  There is a thick, creamy, head of off-white foam.  The aroma is malty, caramel and sweet potato, dark cherries, with a bright, grassy and brassy, note on the end.  The taste is malty, roasted and toasted, caramel, sweet potato, with enough grassy bitterness on the finish to kill any sweetness and finish dry and moderately bitter. The mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, but also smooth. This is a fine Oktoberfest beer.
