Redhook Audible Ale

This is a 4.7% ABV "crushable" ale from the Redhook Brewery of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Portland, Oregon. It is a "refreshing and smooth" pale ale made in collaboration with the Dan Patrick show (collaboration? or sponsorship?). It comes in a bottle that is both tall and thin, yet stubby.

The beer pours a clear and bright light copper in color. There is  tall half-inch of white foam. The aroma is fruity, citrusy, grassy, over malt. The taste is a perfectly balanced mix of the hops and malt from the aroma. This is so well balanced that it is hard to pull out a lot of individual notes. This is both the blessing and the curse of this beer. It is finely and crisply carbonated. Better than an adjunct lager?  For sure. Quaffable? Yes. But, unfortunately, not real thrilling on its own merits.
