Fix Beer is a Greek beer that is now brewed under license in the United States by the Lion Brewery in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. After a German prince was appointed King of Greece in 1833 (a common practice in 19th-century Europe), German courtiers, and soon brewers, followed. One was named Fix and opened a brewery.
The beer pours a pure and clear golden in color. It is well carbonated and there is a quick leaving head of pure white foam. The aroma is malted grain, slightly sweet, a bit of straw, with some apple notes. The taste follows the aromas directly. It finishes semi-sweet and semi-dry. The mouthfeel is light and bubbly. I can't help but think this tastes better in Greece. It is a middling adjunct lager.
