Freigeist Ottekolong

This 4.8% ABV beer is an unfiltered kolsch from Freigeist, the experimental offshoot of Cologne’s small brewery Braustelle, a part of the Brauerei Goller of Zeil Am Main, Germany. On a clever play on words the name of the beer translates as “ Eau de Cologne."

The beer pours a slightly hazy golden yellow. There is a tall head of thick white foam. The aroma is grassy, lightly fruity with a tart note, a touch floral, all over golden grain with light straw. The taste follows the aromas, moderately bitter, drinking light but flavorful, with a super clean and dry finish.
